Signs you're on the right career track

You know you're on the right career track if:

• You're getting compliments — especially from your boss or your boss's boss.
• You're getting assignments.
• Your responsibilities are increasing.
• You're getting bonuses or other financial rewards.

You know you're in trouble if:

• You're excluded from important projects.
• The "in" group excludes you from coffee or lunch.
• Supervisors criticize you constantly about mistakes.
• The company is in financial trouble.
• You hate your work, the day drags by and you feel consistently discounted.
